Starting at Crossing Corner at 11.30am and finishing at Keswick Rugby Club The course is some 13 miles 192.5 yards of some of the most beautiful scenery in the British Isles. A traditional slate medallion is given to every person who finishes. There is also a small prize for the winner of each category. No doubt you will also find a pile of Borrowdale slate dust in your trainers after you finish as well!

The previous two festivals organised by the Keswick Tourism Association were such hits that it was decided immediately to make this an ongoing fixture. The Festival offers an activity-based programme of guided walks of all grades, training in hill skills and conservation, as well as more serious adventure activities.. There is also be a full programme of lectures by professional climbers, films and equipment exhibitions.

Keswick Beer Festival

Held at Davidson Park home of The Keswick Rugby Club. This event is the biggest beer festival in Northern England And is well worth a visit. Entertainment is also top class with Many top class bands and tribute bands. Book early tickets sell faster than a Daniel O’Donnell concert.

The Keswick Show

The Keswick Show is mainly an agricultural Show which is always held on August Bank Holiday Monday.The venue is the Showground on the Western edge of town. It features both commercial and charity stands The Show attracts large numbers of competitors, exhibitors and spectators and is a great day out for all the family. The Arts and Crafts and Produce sections exhibited in the main tent are not to be missed, often attracting over 100 entries. Sadly last years show was rained off lets hope for better things this year.

Derwentwater Challenge

14Km of mountain trails which are a club and/or family day out. The Challenge is a less competitive version of the trail race which sets off one hour earlier from Fitz Park in the town centre. It encompasses foot paths and trails around Derwentwater and the surrounding peaks of Skiddaw & Blencathra.

Keswick Traditional Christmas Fayre

The Keswick Victorian Fayre is a local tradition and is always held on the first Sunday of December each year. It has many seasonal decorated charity stalls and plenty of street entertainment it’s the the start of the Festive Season in Keswick.
Held in the ancient Market Place, with the Christmas tree and shops festooned with colourful lights. Come and see the equally colourful local characters providing entertainment and leading the carol singing, the event is an occasion not to be missed.
